YACWAG is an organisation led by volunteers. Because of this we are able to spend all the money you donate on buying and managing land as a refuge for nature and on raising awareness of the importance of nature conservation.
Any amount you can give, no matter how small, will help us with our projects and achieve more. Using the donate button below you can make a one off payment.
When you click the Donate button below you will be directed to a secure PayPal window where you can either donate by using your PayPal account (if you have one), or choosing the “Donate with a card” option and make a one-off payment by credit or debit card.
Members and non-members alike have made donations in memory of a loved one and asked for them to be remembered by the purchase of an owl box or some bird or bat boxes.
In 2020 YACWAG was given a donation to commemorate two dear friends from Claverham whose deaths had occurred not long apart. YACWAG had wanted to plant an oak tree on Harry’s Plot for some time and at last this was possible. It was suggested as a suitable project and the donor agreed. Their donation enabled an oak tree to be planted and provided with a black iron guard and commemorative plaque. The memorial tree for Bobby MacArthur and her friend Joan Rees is doing extremely well!
You can raise free donations for us by simply shopping online using Give as you Live. Over 4,100 leading online stores are involved in the scheme, including Boots, Etsy, Screwfix, eBay, Tesco, M&S, John Lewis & Waitrose, Sainsbury’s, Argos, Apple iTunes & App Store, thetrainline, and Booking.com.
Give as You Live is free to use. Make your online purchases as normal, such as buying a card from Moonpig, photos from Snapfish, or your hotel from booking.com. You will incur no additional costs, but YACWAG will receive a small percentage, usually around 1% of what you pay.
For example, if you use Give as You Switch to find a new car or house insurer you can raise up to £30 for YACWAG, and if you choose new breakdown insurance the RAC will donate up to £49.50 to us.

The Gift Aid scheme allows YACWAG to reclaim the tax on subscriptions and donations. In effect, this means that HMRC will add another 25p to every £1 donated at no extra cost to the donor, provided that the donor pays an equal or greater amount in UK income or capital gains tax.
