This small 48-page book contains a wealth of information about the history, culture and ecology of some of our landmark trees while remaining very readable and packed with colour photos from around Yatton and Congresbury.
First published in 2012 in celebration of the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee, with a foreword by David Bellamy OBE, the reprint includes an update. All proceeds will go towards YACWAG’s tree planting and maintenance programme in Yatton and Congresbury.

Brilliant Birds of Yatton & Congresbury

YACWAG’s bird man, Trevor Riddle, has written a lovely little guide full of colour photos about the birds of Yatton and Congresbury and where to go to see them. Any profit will go to YACWAG’s funds. The book was published in 2021 and costs £5.
As of Summer 2021 the book’s reprint sales have been sufficient to buy a new barn owl box to replace the rather tired one featured on the Brilliant Birds book cover.
YACWAG now offers you the chance to show your support for us by choosing to wear a garment with our logo on.
We switched to a new supplier in 2019 in order to ‘put our money where our mouth is’ and supply clothing that ethically stands out. Cotton Roots make and supply clothing that is Fairtrade, organic, recycled materials and made in the UK. The YACWAG logo is embroidered on the chest of tee shirts, polo shirts, hoodies, sweatshirts. YACWAG is embroidered on a baseball cap which is made of 100% recycled materials (and which Chair Tony Moulin says is the best design he has ever worn. See photo below). All the clothing is high quality and ethically certified.
We have to have an order of 12 garments to set up the print run for the logo.
