Brilliant Birds of Yatton & Congresbury

£5.00

YACWAG’s bird man, Trevor Riddle, has written a lovely little guide full of colour photos about the birds of Yatton and Congresbury and where to go to see them. Any profit will go to YACWAG’s funds. The book was published in 2021 and costs £5. As of Summer 2021 the book’s reprint sales have been sufficient to buy a new barn owl box to replace the rather tired one featured on the Brilliant Birds book cover.

Encounters with Nature – Action for Wildlife in Yatton and Congresbury

£12.95

A collection of personal wildlife stories and insights gathered over half a century has now been published by Tony and Faith Moulin, founding trustees of YACWAG. Encounters with Nature is illustrated with over 100 colour photographs and describes 31 memorable and poignant encounters with wildlife in an informative and entertaining way.

Through their encounters with local wildlife, you can experience local history, see the development of YACWAG from its earliest days and virtually visit most of its reserves. As well as featuring co-volunteers, the book includes new encounters and observations made in 2025. One of the key messages of the book is that, in spite of the recent decline in nature, action gives us hope for the future.

All proceeds will be donated to YACWAG.

Treasured Trees of Yatton and Congresbury

This small 48-page book contains a wealth of information about the history, culture and ecology of some of our landmark trees while remaining very readable and packed with colour photos from around Yatton and Congresbury. First published in 2012 in celebration of the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee, with a foreword by David Bellamy OBE, the reprint includes an update. All proceeds will go towards YACWAG’s tree planting and maintenance programme in Yatton and Congresbury.
