SPECIAL WILDLIFE:

Roe deer, grass snakes, marsh marigolds, yellow loosestrife, ringlet butterflies, marbled white butterflies, bugle and meadow rue. Moles use the fields. The rare yellow loosestrife bee was discovered in the reserve in 2020.

 

A pole box was put up and has been used by breeding barn owls and stock doves.


PUBLIC ACCESS:

Stowey Reserve is used for educational visits by groups and the local school. Acess is through other owners’ land. Please get in touch if you would like to visit.

Roe deer can sometimes be seen in all YACWAG’s fields,
as they can hide in the long grass.
Yellow loosestrife:
one of the speciality wild flowers of the Stowey reserve.
